Is Texas Autism Academy a school or a clinic?
We are a private school accepting children with autism from ages 5-19 years of age. Texas Autism Academy has a full curriculum of reading, writing, math, science, social studies, art, music, PE, and library. We also provide social skills and motor lab classes. We have full-day sessions for our students. Our hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:40 PM, Monday through Friday.

Does Texas Autism Academy do ABA Therapy?
We are a school. We do not offer one-on-one ABA therapy, but we do integrate the ABA methodologies into an Individualized Behavior Plan created by our BCBA, Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

What makes Texas Autism Academy different from other private and public schools?
We solely serve children with Autism. Texas Autism Academy accepts children with a medical or educational diagnosis of autism. Each student receives an IEP for academics and an IEP for behavior, developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, BCBA. Besides individual academic and behavior goals utilizing research and scientific-based curriculum/methodologies, we offer social skills and motor lab classes.

Do you accept insurance?
No, we are not able to accept insurance. Please note that we do not provide ABA Therapy.

Does Texas Autism Academy provide scholarships and/or financial aid?
We are continuously networking and connecting with the local Houston area community members seeking donations. We offer several fundraisers throughout the year, Please take a look at our calendar.

Does Texas Autism Academy receive any federal or state funds?
Texas Autism Academy does not receive any state or federal funds. We are a nonprofit, 501c3 school. All funds come from tuition or donations.
