From the first phone conversation we had with the director about their mission and goals, we knew TAA fit with what we wanted to accomplish for our 10-year-old son. Unlike the other autism schools I had toured in Houston proper, TAA wants the children to succeed so they can function in society beyond just being a student. Our 10-year-old son started in January and in a mere 5 months he has made friends, is going to birthday parties, and has play dates. The entire community surrounding TAA has made us feel welcome. The teachers have this ability to get results while knowing how far to nudge without resulting in a meltdown.
